The International Green Crescent Federation (IFGC) and the Turkish Green Crescent Society jointly organized the webinar titled “Comprehensive Approaches to Alcohol Awareness and Reducing Stigmatization YEDAM’s Perspective” for Country Green Crescents operating across different regions of the world. The session was held online on 27 November 2025 in collaboration with YEDAM.
The one-hour interactive session featured YEDAM Clinical Psychologists Hazal Akoğlu and Ayşe Şahin. They presented comprehensive information on alcohol awareness, recovery processes from addiction, and strategies for addressing alcohol-related stigma. Participants also had the opportunity to review practical experiences together through case examples shared by Country Green Crescents.
The session was moderated by Mohamad Saleh Kakeh, Volunteer Coordinator of the Stardom Associaton (Green Crescent Lebanon). His contribution ensured a dynamic and engaging flow throughout the programme and supported the creation of a rich discussion environment. During the question-and-answer and open discussion sections, participants shared observations and experiences from their countries. This exchange created a productive platform for identifying common challenges and exploring effective solutions.
