The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is a large country located in Central Africa and is the second-largest country on the African continent by area. It is rich in natural resources and has a diverse population and cultural heritage. The DRC plays a significant role in regional affairs and faces ongoing challenges related to development, public health, and social stability while continuing efforts toward peace and sustainable development.

Green Crescent of Congo is a non-profit civil society organization based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with its headquarters located at Changalele II Avenue, Quartier Gambela, Lubumbashi. A Goodwill Agreement was signed in 2014, the same year the organization completed its official establishment. Green Crescent of Congo has been a member of IFGC since 2017. The organization is chaired by Ms. Rose Mayuto Mwadjuma, who also serves as the primary focal point. Its activities focus on prevention, awareness-raising, and community-based initiatives addressing addiction related to drugs, alcohol, and similar forms of addiction, contributing to public health, social resilience, and sustainable community development in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
