Zimbabwe is a landlocked country located in Southern Africa, bordered by Zambia to the north, Mozambique to the east, South Africa to the south, and Botswana to the southwest. Its capital and largest city is Harare. Zimbabwe is a member of the United Nations, the African Union, and the Southern African Development Community (SADC). The country is known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse ethnic communities, and natural landmarks such as Victoria Falls, as well as its historical significance in the Southern African region.

Green Crescent Zimbabwe is a non-governmental organization based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, with its official address at 7A, 9th Avenue, Bulawayo. The organization signed its Goodwill Agreement in 2019 and completed its official establishment in the same year. Since 2019, Green Crescent Zimbabwe has been a member of IFGC.The organization was initially chaired by Dr. Cherifa Sururu, who passed away in 2021 due to COVID-19. In 2022, Elizabeth Chipendo was appointed as the President. Green Crescent Zimbabwe is a member of VNGOC and has played a key role in supporting the establishment of four new Country Green Crescent organizations in Rwanda, Malawi, Botswana, and Zambia by serving as a reference. In 2022, the organization submitted its application for ECOSOC consultative status, which was successfully granted in 2023. Green Crescent Zimbabwe focuses on the prevention of addiction, including drug, alcohol, and related forms of addiction, through community-based initiatives, advocacy, and international cooperation.
