It has experienced significant political and social transformation and continues to play an important role in regional and international affairs.
Udruženje građana Zeleni polumjesec u Bosni i Hercegovini is a non-profit organization based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its headquarters located at Asima Ferhatovića 2, 71 000 Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. A Goodwill Agreement was signed in 2013, and the organization was officially established in 2014. It has been a member of IFGC since 2017 and was elected as a member of the IFGC Audit Board in 2025.The President of the organization is Prof. Dr. Faruk Čaklović. The organization is also a member of VNGOC and obtained ECOSOC Special Consultative Status in 2020. Its activities focus on prevention, awareness, and community-based efforts addressing addiction related to drugs, alcohol, and similar forms of addiction, contributing to public health and social well-being in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
