Mali is a landlocked country in West Africa and a member of the United Nations and the African Union. Its capital city is Bamako. Mali became independent in 1960 and is recognized for its historical role in ancient African civilizations and trans-Saharan trade. The country’s economy is largely based on agriculture, livestock, and gold mining, and it engages with regional and international institutions to promote peace, development, and regional cooperation in line with African Union and international frameworks.
West Africa is a region in the western part of the African continent, known for its cultural diversity, growing economies, and active role in regional cooperation and development.
Croissant Vert Mali is a civil society organization based in Mali, with its headquarters located at Sanoubougou 1, Urban Commune of Sikasso, Mali. The organization signed its Goodwill Agreement in 2014 and completed its official establishment in the same year. Croissant Vert Mali has been a member of the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (IFGC) since 2017. The organization is chaired by Al-Mustafa Sanogo.
