Malaysia is a parliamentary democracy based on a federal constitutional monarchy. The country consists of 13 states and 3 federal regions. The executive duty in the country is in the government and the head of the government is the prime minister, who is appointed by the king and heads the party with the majority in the parliament. Malaysia, one of the founding members of ASEAN, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, held the rotating presidency of this organization in 2015 and was a non-permanent member of the UNSC between 2015 and 2016. Malaysia, which is among the "developing countries", aims to enter the category of "developed countries" in the 2020s, especially with the momentum it has achieved since the 90s. In Malaysia, the government is especially trying to fight drug addiction effectively. It is known that the widespread use of drugs such as cocaine and opium is a cause for concern in Malaysia.
Green Crescent Malaysia was officially established in 2016 and is a full member of the UYEF Board of Directors. Its President is Dr. Ahmed Fairuz Bin Mohamed. The association has 104 members and 150 volunteers in total. Since its establishment, the association has provided awareness training to more than 10,000 people in total.
