Yemen is a country located in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia, bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north, Oman to the east, the Red Sea to the west, and the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea to the south. Its capital is Sana’a, while Aden serves as an important commercial and port city. Yemen is a member of the United Nations, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. With a long history as one of the cradles of ancient civilizations, Yemen holds significant cultural heritage, although it has faced prolonged humanitarian and developmental challenges in recent years.
The Middle East is a region located primarily in Western Asia, recognized by the United Nations and other international organizations for its strategic geographic position, rich historical and cultural heritage, and significant influence on global political, economic, and energy systems.
Yemeni Green Crescent is a civil society initiative based in Mukalla City, Hadhramout, Yemen. The organization signed its Goodwill Agreement in 2014; however, it has not yet completed its official establishment process. Yemeni Green Crescent is led by Munir Salih Al-Jabiri, who also serves as the main contact person. The initiative focuses on addressing addiction, including drug, alcohol, and related forms of addiction, through awareness-raising and community-oriented activities, despite operating under challenging national circumstances.
