Zambia is a landlocked country located in Southern Africa, bordered by Tanzania to the northeast, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south, Namibia to the southwest, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, and Angola to the west. Its capital and largest city is Lusaka. Zambia is a member of the United Nations, the African Union, and the Southern African Development Community (SADC). The country is known for its political stability, rich natural resources, and the Victoria Falls, one of the world’s largest and most famous waterfalls.
Green Crescent Zambia is a non-governmental organization based in Zambia, with its official address at 223 Twin Palm Complex, Ibex Hill. The process of signing the Goodwill Agreement was conducted digitally in 2020, following initial contact established in 2019 through a referral from Zimbabwe Green Crescent. The organization completed its official establishment in 2020 and has been a member of IFGC since that year. In 2025, Green Crescent Zambia was elected as a member of the IFGC Audit Board.The organization is chaired by Sandra Malupande. Green Crescent Zambia is a member of VNGOC and contributed at the International Addiction Congress held on 2–3 November 2021, where it served as a session chair. The organization focuses on the prevention of addiction, including drug, alcohol, and related forms of addiction, through advocacy, awareness-raising, and international cooperation initiatives.
